OFFPAINT® PM10 is an innovative, water-based, and eco-friendly peelable coating designed for temporary surface protection. The highly efficient liquid masking film creates a precise, form-fitting protective layer on virtually all substrates, such as metals, plastics and glass. It reliably shields sensitive areas from paint, overspray, dirt, rust, corrosion, UV and mechanical damage during production processes, storage or transportation. It can be used as a single-component coating for indoor applications and as a two-component coating for outdoor applications, thereby enhancing the product’s weather resistance. Once the finishing process is complete, the robust film can be peeled off in one piece without leaving any residue behind. This leads to noticeable improvements in process speed and a significant reduction in manual masking efforts.

The fast-drying, non-hazardous formula is universally applicable and seamlessly integrates into existing production environments. The product can be applied using all standard methods, including automated robotic spraying, manual spraying, rolling, brushing, or dipping without the need for specialized extraction systems, explosion-proof (ATEX) environments, or complex plant modifications.

1. On which surfaces can OFFPAINT® PM10 be applied?

OFFPAINT® PM10 is highly versatile and forms a perfect protective layer on almost all non-porous industrial surfaces. This includes metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminum), various plastics (ABS, PC, PET), glass, and already painted or treated surfaces. For highly specialized or heavily textured substrates, we recommend a quick patch test.

2. How is the liquid masking film applied?

The product is formulated for seamless integration into your existing workflows. It can be applied dynamically via automated robotic spray systems (using standard spray valves) for high-volume production, or manually using standard spray guns, airless systems, rollers, or brushes for smaller batches and complex individual parts.

3. How long does the coating take to dry, and can it be accelerated?

Drying time depends on ambient temperature, humidity, and the applied film thickness. Under standard room conditions, the water-based formula cures rapidly (in minutes). To match fast-paced production cycle times, the drying process can be significantly accelerated using forced air ventilation, infrared (IR) lamps, or low-temperature curing ovens.

4. Does the film leave any adhesive residue after removal?

No. Unlike traditional masking tapes that can leave stubborn, time-consuming adhesive residues behind, OFFPAINT® PM10 cures into a cohesive, non-tacky film. It peels off cleanly in one piece, leaving the protected surface flawless and immediately ready for the next processing step or final delivery.

5. What types of processes and damage does the film protect against?

The robust film reliably shields sensitive areas against 1-coat, 2-coat, and 3-coat paint systems, primers, and overspray.
